A champion for Haitian youth
Josué Deprez is an accomplished Haitian athlete who represented his country at the Olympics and Pan American Games. He is also the president of the Athletes’ Commission.
A talented athlete and dedicated leader
Deprez began his sporting career at the age of 12 at a club in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He quickly rose through the ranks and a 10 times national champion, Head Coach of the National judo team. In 2020, he was selected to represent Haiti at the Tokyo Olympics in the under 73 kg category in judo.
Elected president of the Athletes’ Commission by Haitians, Deprez is committed to promoting sport and education in Haiti. He works to create an environment more conducive to the development of young athletes and to promote Haitian sport at the national and international level.
A passionate advocate for sport and education
Deprez is a strong advocate of sport as a tool for positive change. He believes that sport can help young people develop their character, skills, and self-confidence. He is also a strong advocate of education, which he considers essential for the success of young people.
