The International Athletes’ Forum is one of the most influential platforms for dialogue between athlete representatives from National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations (IFs), the Paralympic movement, and other stakeholders from the global sports community.

This biennial forum addresses a wide range of critical topics affecting athletes, including:

  • Athletes’ rights and responsibilities within the Olympic Movement;
  • The fight against doping and unethical practices in sport;
  • Post-career transition and athlete education programs;
  • Mental health and well-being initiatives;
  • Governance, transparency, and leadership in sports organizations;
  • Inclusion, representation, and equity in sport;
  • And the growing role of athletes in shaping the future of global sport.

A Historic Step Forward for Haitian Athletes

Deprez Josués presence at the 2025 Forum marks a milestone moment for Haiti. It represents the country’s first official participation in this international gathering of athlete leaders. It also symbolizes HAITIAC’s dedication to giving Haitian athletes a voice on the global stage and to strengthening Haiti’s role within the Olympic and Paralympic communities.

At the forum, Mr. Josué will:

  • Present the unique challenges and realities faced by Haitian athletes, many of whom train and compete with limited resources and support;
  • Contribute to global discussions on athlete-centered policies and development;
  • Build connections and partnerships with other national athlete commissions and international organizations;
  • And amplify Haiti’s voice in global sports governance and athlete advocacy.

A Moment of National Pride and Collective Aspiration

Speaking about his participation, Deprez Josué said:

“It is both an honor and a great responsibility to represent Haitian athletes at the International Athletes’ Forum. I will carry with me their dreams, their struggles, and their strength. This is a chance to make our voices heard and to affirm that Haiti, despite the challenges, is a nation of resilience and excellence in sport.”

This forum is not only a space for discussion — it is a platform for transformation. As Haiti continues to face socio-economic and infrastructural challenges, sport remains a powerful source of hope, unity, and identityHAITIAC encourages the entire sports community in Haiti and the diaspora to follow and support this meaningful journey.
